The Rosary Devotion

“The Rosary is the weapon for these times.” -Saint Padre Pio

Through Saint Dominic, we have been gifted the Rosary, from Mary and ultimately from Heaven, as the spiritual weapon for our times. Fostering a love for the Rosary in our children is a beautiful and powerful practice. Learning how to pray the Rosary draws us closer to Mary, and therefore closer to Christ!

The this title of Our Lady comes first from the Dominicans, and then made universal by Pope Leo XIII.

On October 7, 1571, Our Lady of the Rosary obtained for Catholics the victory at Lepanto. About to be defeated by the Turks, St. Pius V, fasted, prayed, and encouraged the people to do the same. He trusted in the help of Our Blessed Mother, and a war that looked all but lost, was won by the Catholics. God won the war through Mary.
