Mary Star of the Sea helps guide us to Jesus.

Eva to Ave is blessed to have Mary Star of the Sea as our patroness.

You can learn more about how we choose her here.

“If the winds of temptation arise, if you are driven upon the rocks of tribulation look to the star, call on Mary. If you are tossed upon the waves of pride, of ambition, of envy, of rivalry, look to the star, call on Mary. Should anger, or avarice, or fleshly desire violently assail the frail vessel of your soul, look at the star, call upon Mary.” – Saint Bernard of Clairvaux

Our Lord loves His mother! In fact, it is the 4th Commandment, to honor our mother and father. The Lord blessed her among all women when He choose her. From the beginning of time He knew Mary would be the vessel in which He would take on human flesh. Moreover, he chose her to care for Him as a little baby, and as a child. Mary is there during the 4th Station of the Cross Jesus knew she would stay close to Him.

Mary stayed with Him during His Crucifixion, when so many ran away. Our Lord preformed His first miracle at The Wedding Feast at Cana, at Her request. On the cross He calls her woman, just as Adam called Eve woman showing us how Christ was making all things new! She is truly Our Blessed Mother.

Our Blessed Mother Wants What Her Son Wants.

Mary wants to bring people to her son. She wants what her Son wants, to help us get to Heaven!
The title of Our Lady, Star of the Sea is recorded as far back as early medieval times. It appears to have come from a spelling error, however it with all it’s symbolism it seems clear it was no error after all. Since she leads us to Christ as the stars guide the sailor’s to safety, we can call upon her to help us navigate the waters of life. Her feast day is September 27th. May Mary be the star of our sea as she shows us how to direct our lives Christ.

There can be no other human soul as close to our Lord as His mother, and He gives her to us when He gives her to St. John. How amazing! He shares with us the person who lived out His will perfectly. It is a gift that Mary, the Queen of Heaven, can intercede for me, and you!
